This past Saturday, August 8th, Bob and I went for a bicycle ride on the Allegheny River Valley Trail. We began our ride near the tennis courts at St. Bonaventure University in Allegany NY. Taking the trail to the left, we reached the Allegheny River in about 0.25 mile.
This is a video that Bob took with our GoPro7 camera during our bicycle ride.
I took several still images, while bicycling the trail.
Trailhead at St. Bonaventure University in Allegany, NYAllegheny RiverThere are many opportunities along the trail to sit on a bench and enjoy the views of the Allegheny River. This is one of several bridges that we crossed, while on the trail.
I noticed a big chair sitting alongside the river on the opposite side.
The “Trump Chair”
The trail along the river is well shaded. The rest of the trail … not so much.
The trail turns away from the river at 3 miles and heads north.
The trail crosses over Washington Street. This memorial bench and flower garden is located at a curve on trail.
After about a mile, we came to a fork in the trail. We made a right turn at the fork.
The trail runs alongside Constitution Avenue for a short while.Country Fair is located at the intersection of Buffalo, Wayne and 12th Streets.
I took this picture inside a pavilion, where we made a rest stop. We also took advantage of the restroom inside Country Fair.
From Country Fair the trail continues on the sidewalk alongside Wayne Street and turns right alongside a railroad track (opposite Olean Intermediate Middle School). We turned around shortly after reaching the trail along the railroad track.
This is the pavilion near Country Fair.
We returned to the fork in the trail and turned right to continue on the main loop trail. After crossing Constitution Avenue we stopped at Twist and Shake.

We were on the local “Ride for Roswell” trail, but we didn’t participate in the ride.

My name is Linda. I am happily married to Bob, whom I married in September 1998. We have a daughter (my stepdaughter), who blessed Bob and me with twin granddaughters in May 2012.
My interests include spending time with my family and friends, riding the motorcycle with my husband, bowling, bicycling, walking, attending festivals, photography and travel.
I love taking photographs. I am a hobbyist photographer. My camera of choice is a mirrorless interchangeable lens Olympus camera.
I love to travel as well. I lived in Germany for almost 3 years, while in the Army, and visited many European countries. I have toured Europe two additional times since returning stateside. I lived in Australia for 3 months. I vacationed in the Bahamas (Nassau) one time. I would like to see more of the U.S., as well as return to Europe. I wouldn’t mind seeing the world!
FAVORITE MOVIES:
I like all types of movies — comedy, romance, action, thriller and horror.
FAVORITE MUSIC:
My favorite type of music would have to be country, judging by the fact that my CD collection contains mostly country artists such as Alabama, Clint Black, Garth Brooks, George Strait and more. I like music by Green Day, 3 Doors Down, and Matchbox 20 too.
FAVORITE BOOKS:
I tend to read romance novels, although I enjoy a good horror every now and then. My favorite romance writers include Belva Plain, Nora Roberts, Nicholas Sparks, Danielle Steel, Robert James Waller, and Phyliss A. Whitney. My favorite horror writers are Stephen King and John Saul.
